From Goodreads:
  Love isn't something you find.
Love is something that finds you.

Phoenix has spent her whole life fighting. All she's ever wanted was to return the world to a peaceful state, and bring down the New World Order. But now she finds herself in a different sort of battle. No longer set in the streets of New Berlin, the fighting has moved beneath them, in a vicious underground fighting ring run by outlaws bent on causing trouble. And if that isn't hard enough, she's stuck with the one person who loves to fight more than she does - Trent McKay. Now the race is on to get out of their new prison and back home - before they end up killing each other.

Or worse - fall in love.

My Review
*Sigh* I really love this series. I have been salivating for this one for a while and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. It was so worth the wait! My expectations weren't just met, but surpassed... Like I expected anything less. Everything Ms J touches is always great. And I love how she has made this "new world" so fantastic. Her world building is seriously fantastic and I absolutely ALWAYS love her characters. But no one will ever compare to Logan, just saying LOL I really never expected this series to match up to her Eden series, and though it's very different, it's still just as great. And that's what makes an awesome author, not just sticking to the same old repetitive things.
Now I will recommend reading this series in order because you may be a little lost, or you may not understand all the dynamics of the characters or how the plot originally started. I love this series so much that when I got my copy of this one, I went back and reread them all. Because they are that fantastic. And it's so cool when you reread something and you love it just as much the second time, maybe even more. But, you if you are crazy and just jump right into this one, it's ok, because the author does a great job giving you the details of previous accounts without a big info dump- just some reminders.
Now we've all been seeing these characters for a while but it was fantastic to read from their POVs. I loved Trent from the start. He's different and he doesn't follow the mold of everyone else. We met him when we met Pete as part of the rebels and we eventually met Phoenix  and boy did their relationship seem volatile. But oh so fun. Yeah I really liked them. And I really liked seeing all the other characters that we've met along the way.
I love the writing and everything that comes with is. This has such a really unique take on a dystopian or post apocalyptic style and it's become a major favorite of mine. I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book in the series and seeing as how it releases on the same day as this one, I can't wait for my preorder to get loaded on my kindle! LOL So with that said, I think you should all check out this book, this series, this author. She even has some contemp romance if fantasy and dystopian aren't your thing, and they are just as awesome :) So, gimme gimme, I'm ready for more!!! 5 MAGNIFICENT PAWS!!!
