Saving Grace by Bianca D'Arc early review!

Welcome to my tour stop for Saving Grace by Bianca D'Arc! Let me show you some goodies!!

Saving Grace Synopsis:

As Game Warden, Jack Chambers is responsible for the wildlife in and around Grizzly Cove, but he never expected to find a badly injured mermaid washed up on the shore near his house. He takes her in and helps her back to health, only to learn of the much greater danger held at bay, just off shore, and how it’s affecting the ocean-going shifter population.

Jack’s immediate problem is the pull the leviathan still has over the woman he is fast coming to believe is his mate. He has to save her, but they also need to work through the problems of a land shifter and a mermaid getting together. Can they make the relationship work? Or is he going to end up broken hearted when she returns to her watery home?

And who even knew there were mer people off shore? This is something the residents of Grizzly Cove are going to have to figure out, especially with the leviathan out there too, still posing a great threat to all creatures of the Light.

 My review

So this is the first book I've read of this series, but not the first by this author. She always writes such fun, creative romances in all kinds of genres. Well, this one may be close to my favorite- her dragons being my top- because this is a mermaid meets a bear. How freaking cool she made this. And so opposite. I think that's why I liked it so much, because it seemed so simple to make it work when I thought it would be way to hard.

So Jack, the bear, who's the game warden is patrolling his beach when he finds Grace almost dead and bleeding. She washed up in the beach and he knows he needs to help her if she is to live. So he takes her home, and when Grace wakes up, she freaks a little but Jack was just so nice and caring. I liked both of their personalities. Jack being the sweeter kinder of the two while Grace was the more outwardly dominant- she told you what she wanted and how she was going to get it- and she didn't back down. I kinda liked this little role reversal. Now don't get me wrong, Jack was not submissive but he was dominant enough to let Grace stand all on her own but back her up when she needed it. And I loved the little twist at the end, after the cool magic, that Grace's parents may be more than they seem. And the threat of the big scary monster, well I look forward to seeing someone destroy that thing. It's bad and it needs to go.

Overall this was a fun quick read with a wonderful romance, a twist on the supernatural couple, and some fun magic thrown in! A great addition for paranormal romance lovers! 4.5 PAWS! Ps, the excerpt from the back, of the next book, I absolutely cannot wait to see Jetty and Drew's story!!
